In going through some old clippings about the Craven family, I noticed that my great-grandfather James Craven (Pap) and his son Patrick (Taddle) were described in a similar way. Both were known as miners of conspicuous physical stature.
These genes run through the family. I’m 6’2″ and other members of my family are tall as well. I wonder what other traits are present.
The article about Pap and his involvement in local politics is from the Harrisburg Telegraph (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania), April 3, 1905.
Taddle’s article is from the Altoona Tribune (Altoona, Pennsylvania), January 6, 1913.
