Aunt Eliza liked to travel. After she retired from Sears, she took several trips abroad.

The bottom photo was taken in Ireland in 1964. Aunt Eliza was visiting Killarney in County Cork (she is on the far left).
I have never been to Ireland, but I have been to Rome. It was the year 2000, and as our tour bus pulled into the Eternal City my first impression was, “Rome is so dirty.” Maybe it was the fatigue of being on the road for a week.
The next morning, my opinion changed. “Rome is beautiful,” I remember thinking.
Anyway, the pace of a horse-drawn carriage seems ideal for sightseeing.
