My grandfather, Felix Ference, is in this photo of his high school basketball team. This comes from the Morning News (Wilmington, Delaware), Saturday, March 22, 1930.
Pop was 16 when this picture was taken. He would marry Nana eight years later.
I couldn’t find much information about the Wilmington Trade School. I found a reference to it in an online document, “Education in the States: Historical Development and Outlook,” first published in 1969:
“In 1926, the classes in five different trades held for 120 pupils in the attic of Wilmington High School were transferred to an old school renamed the Wilmington Trade School.”
